You can get here by plane, bus, train, boat and car. Once you’ve arrived, take your time. Relax and enjoy it.

From Athens, there are daily flights to “Macedonia” Airport in Chrysoupoli. During the summer, this airport serves charter flights to and from many European cities.

From Macedonia, Airport of Thessaloniki is a 1,5-hour drive by car or shuttle bus.

There are regular bus service from which connect the airport to the town of Kavala. The bus stop is just outside the airport building and tickets can be purchased from the driver. Also, there are several services so as you can rent a car from the airport.

There are daily connections with the island of Thassos, from the port of Prinos on Thassos, with a final destination of “Apostolos Pavlos”, the passenger port of Kavala, as well as from the port of Limenas on Thassos with the port of Keramoti. Kavala is also connected by boat with Piraeus, Lavrio, Syros, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Patmos, Icaria, Fournoi, Samos, Chios, Mytilene, Agios Evstratios and Lemnos.

There are an excellent road network around the refearing region, with modern roads connecting in to all the large towns and the whole of Greece. Whether via the A2 motorway on the Via Egnatia or the old National Road, travel by car is comfortable and pleasant.

The provincial road network for all the villages in the Regional Unit is in good condition.

Kavala is 153 km from Thessaloniki by car and 653 km from Athens.
