Cape Vrasidas

You can find the paradise that is Cape Vrasidas between Amologoi and Nea Peramos behind the hill of Anaktoroupolis. It is comprised of small beaches and gulfs, completely surrounded by mountains and ancient rocks. The beaches have free entry, free parking and café/bars to buy refreshments.

If perchance you get bored of swimming you can also visit the castle of Nea Peramos. Nothing says Greek holiday like strolling around ruins! The castle is located in the bay of Eleutherai, west of Kavala and was built between 1167-1170 to control a port between Thessaloniki and Istanbul.

The remains of the Byzantine city of Anaktoroupoli can also be explored. The city was built between the 10th-14th centuries and destroyed in the 15th century during the Ottoman expansion.
